The Challenge
It’s Day 5 of the My Body Challenge. Feeling good this morning? Let’s go! As every day from now on: don’t forget your large glass of water (ideally with lemon) and your cold anti-cellulite shower (explained on Day 4). For breakfast: A slice of wholegrain bread with scrambled egg, a drizzle of maple syrup + a green tea. You can also use your homemade granola from Day 4 if you still have the ingredients! For lunch, we suggest the Vegetable Quinoa recipe.
Ingredients: (serves 2)
200 g quinoa
4 small courgettes
400 g peas
10 sprigs of coriander
salt pepper
Method:
Rinse the quinoa in several changes of water, then pour it into 1/2 litre of boiling salted water and cook for 15 min. Drain.
Shell the peas and plunge them into boiling salted water, cook for 10 min and drain.
Slice the courgettes into thin rounds after trimming the ends. Roast them in the oven for a crispy finish or steam them.
Add the quinoa and courgettes and mix together. Stir in the peas, cook for 5 min stirring occasionally, scatter with chopped coriander and serve hot.
Ready for your workout of the day?
Today we introduce the oblique abs exercise.
Starting position: Begin the exercise lying on your back, hands at ear level or supporting the back of your neck, right leg bent and left foot resting on the right knee.
Movement: Lift your head, shoulders and upper back so that your shoulder blades leave the floor. Bring your right elbow towards your left knee while exhaling slowly, then return to the starting position while inhaling. Complete all reps on the same side before switching sides.
Pace: 3 sets of 5 reps on each side.
Remember to control your breathing and drink water after each workout.
