The Challenge

It’s Day 26 of the My Body Challenge. The end of the Challenge is almost here — but we’re not giving up! As every day from now on: don’t forget your large glass of water (ideally with lemon) and your anti-cellulite cold shower (explained on Day 4). This morning, we suggest a plain 0% yogurt with a banana and agave syrup + 1 large freshly squeezed juice (orange or grapefruit). For dinner, we suggest a Light vegetable tart: Capture d'écran 2015-03-26 à 10.45.45 Ingredients (serves 6): – 4 brick pastry sheets – 5 tomatoes – 1 small courgette – 1 bell pepper – 1 large onion (or 2 small ones) – salt, pepper, herbes de Provence, parsley, oregano Recipe method: Sauté the sliced onion in a non-stick pan over medium heat. When the onions start to soften, add the tomatoes cut into rounds. Slice the courgette into rounds and the bell pepper into strips, then add them to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, then season with salt, pepper and herbs to taste. In a tart tin, lay out the 4 brick pastry sheets. Spread the vegetables on top and bake for approximately 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C (gas mark 6). Today’s exercise: Goal – a flat stomach in 3 moves For a flat, toned stomach, here are 3 easy core exercises to work your transverse and oblique abdominals: perdre du ventre 1. Transverse abs: Lie on a mat, back straight and arms alongside your body. Then bring your hands up to ear level. The exercise involves bringing your chin towards your chest using only your abs. >>Do 2 sets of 15 reps. 2. Plank: The forearm plank is performed resting on both forearms, placed flat on the floor. Keep a stable position and be careful not to strain your back — your back must be straight and your head should face your hands on the floor. >>Do 3 sets of 30 seconds to 1 minute. 3. Oblique abs: Lie on your back, hands at ear level or supporting the back of your neck, right leg bent and left foot resting on the right knee. Movement: Lift your head, shoulders and upper back so your shoulder blades leave the floor. Guide your right elbow towards your left knee while exhaling slowly, then return to the starting position while inhaling. Complete all reps on the same side before switching. >> Do 3 sets of 5 reps on each side. A few tips for a flat stomach: – stand tall – stay hydrated by drinking small amounts regularly – eat a balanced diet and choose foods that are easy to digest. It’s not necessarily about losing weight, but about eating better. Some foods slow digestion and cause bloating. Limit fermentable foods: cauliflower, broccoli, peas and legumes (lentils, split peas, chickpeas…). Instead, opt for fibre-rich fruits and vegetables that support gut activity, such as plums and prunes, green beans or salad leaves. (Avoid raw vegetables if they irritate your gut) – take the time to chew your food thoroughly – avoid tight-fitting clothing

The manual method: This method only requires energy (a bit of elbow grease!), a little more time since it is less effective than using the cup, and some patience to get the right technique. Watch the video below for the full method. Today, massage each area for 10 minutes.
