The Challenge
It’s Day 27 of the My Body Challenge. We hope your Day 26 programme went well! As every day from now on: don’t forget your large glass of water (ideally with lemon) and your cold anti-cellulite shower (explained on Day 4). For this morning, we suggest 1 slice of toast with scrambled egg and a kiwi. Enjoy your toast with a tea or black coffee. For lunch, here is a recipe for a light and refreshing cucumber & surimi salad:
Ingredients (serves 2):
– 8 surimi sticks
– 1 cucumber
– 2 fat-free fromage frais
– 2 tablespoons of light single cream
For the seasoning:
– curry
– herbs
– salt, pepper
Recipe preparation:
Peel the cucumber and slice it into very thin rounds (using a knife or a peeler).
Leave the cucumber to drain for a few minutes.
Cut the surimi into very thin slices (almost crumbled) and add it to the cucumber.
Prepare the dressing with the fromage frais and cream, season to taste with curry, herbs, salt, pepper…
Mix everything together… and enjoy chilled!
Today’s exercise
Ladies, with today’s exercise you’ll be able to say goodbye to your love handles!
Position: Standing, legs apart, feet about one metre from each other, arms relaxed along your body.
Movement: Lean your torso to one side, pushing your hand as far down as possible along your body (to your knee or below).
Sequence duration: Complete 2 sets of 30 reps (15 on each side).
Tip: Do not tilt your upper body forwards or backwards. You should feel the stretch at the waist, on the side opposite to the bend. Straighten back up using your obliques. To intensify the exercise, feel free to use 2 kg dumbbells (or 1.5L water bottles).
Your daily palpate-roll massage
To tackle cellulite, the palpate-roll is the most effective massage technique there is.
This technique involves kneading the skin to stimulate lipolysis, which helps release fat from adipose cells while boosting circulation, both venous and lymphatic.
These actions help combat cellulite and the orange-peel effect, as well as reducing water retention. Ideal for eliminating toxins beneath the skin, this massage can be performed with a device, by a professional, or by hand.
The movement should always go from bottom to top to improve circulation. Although this technique can sometimes be uncomfortable, it is remarkably effective against all types of cellulite. A few basic principles should nonetheless be followed:
The massage should always be performed on an area that has been oiled beforehand.
The palpate-roll should not be performed on skin with open wounds, as this risks aggravating injuries and preventing proper healing.
