My Body Challenge – Day 21

The Challenge

It’s Day 21 of the “My Body Challenge”.
The weekend is finally here 🙂
As every day from now on: don’t forget your large glass of water (ideally with lemon) and your anti-cellulite cold shower (explained on Day 4).
For breakfast today, let’s make the most of the weekend and whip up a light apple clafoutis:
Ingredients (serves 4):
– 600 g apples
– 4 eggs
– 400 ml skimmed milk
– 20 g cornstarch
– cinnamon
– 8 tablespoons powdered sweetener
Recipe preparation:
Before you start, preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Beat the eggs with the sweetener as you would for an omelette.
Add the cornstarch previously dissolved in a little cold milk, then the remaining milk.
Arrange the apples, thinly sliced, in a non-stick baking dish.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
Bake in a bain-marie in the oven (at 180°C) for 40 minutes.
Today’s exercise: Decline push-ups

We’ve already talked about push-ups, but today we’re going to make the exercise a little more challenging.
For decline push-ups, don’t worry — you only need a chair.
Place your feet on a chair and your hands on the floor, always keeping your back straight. Your hands, spread twice shoulder-width apart, should be flat on the floor for better stability. Lower yourself while inhaling until your forehead touches the ground, then push back up while exhaling.
To make the exercise harder, you can bring your hands closer together to engage your arms more, especially the triceps.
Do 4 sets of 10, resting 1 minute between each set.

Extra: Why eat apples regularly?

pommes verte #11
An apple provides between 60 and 75 calories.
It is rich in fibre and antioxidants, and low in calories. It also has an appetite-suppressing effect.
Apples have a great hydrating power as they contain 85% water, along with many vitamins found mainly in the skin. It is therefore recommended to eat apples with the skin on, or as a compote. They contain minerals such as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus…
Apples reduce the absorption of cholesterol and lipids in the intestines and help curb snacking urges.
An apple is very filling, easy to carry and can be enjoyed anywhere. It helps sustain physical activity thanks to the fructose and carbohydrates it contains.

The daily pinch-and-roll massage

To tackle cellulite, the pinch-and-roll massage is the most effective technique there is.
This technique involves kneading the skin to stimulate lipolysis, which helps release fat from adipose cells while boosting circulation, both venous and lymphatic.
These actions help combat cellulite and the orange-peel effect, as well as reducing water retention. Ideal for eliminating toxins beneath the skin, this massage can be performed with a device, by a professional, or by hand.
The movement should always go from bottom to top to improve circulation. Even if this technique can sometimes be uncomfortable, it is remarkably effective against all types of cellulite. A few basic principles should nonetheless be followed:
The massage should always be performed on an area that has been oiled beforehand.
The pinch-and-roll technique should not be used on skin with open wounds, as it may worsen injuries and interfere with proper healing.

The CelluBlue method:

Here is a video showing you how to massage with the CelluBlue:

The manual method:
This method only requires energy (elbow grease!), a little more time since it is less effective than with the cup, and some patience to get the right precision.
Watch the video below for the full technique.
For today, massage each area for 10 minutes.
