The Challenge

It’s Day 18 of the “My Body Challenge”.
Still feeling motivated? Keep going — don’t give up!
As every day from now on: don’t forget your large glass of water (ideally with lemon) and your cold anti-cellulite shower (explained on Day 4).
For breakfast today: 2 slices of toast with honey, a herbal tea and a banana.
For dinner, we suggest a recipe for slow-cooked zucchini confit :

Ingredients (serves 6):
– 1 kg medium zucchini (6 to 8)
– 1 red bell pepper
– 1 green (or yellow) bell pepper
– 2 tomatoes
– garlic (to taste)
– chives
– chervil
– parsley
– tarragon
– salt, pepper
Recipe preparation:
Wash the zucchini and grate them as finely as possible without peeling them.
Slice the bell peppers into thin strips.
Cook the zucchini then sauté them in a non-stick pan with no added fat, along with the bell peppers.
Add the finely chopped garlic, herbs, salt and pepper. Stir frequently.
At the end of cooking, add the tomatoes cut into wedges and let simmer for a few more minutes.
Tip: serve this recipe on toasted wholegrain bread or as a side dish with turkey breast or ham
Today’s workout: Plank + oblique abs
For today, a plank session to complete with sets of oblique ab exercises 🙂

The plank strengthens your abdominal muscles and back muscles.
Lie face down as if you were about to start a push-up.
Then hold yourself up on your forearms rather than your hands, keeping your back straight, your neck aligned with your spine and your gaze fixed straight ahead.
Hold the position for 30 seconds to one minute, depending on your level, then release.
Do several plank holds in a row, taking a few seconds’ rest in between, and try to increase the time with each set.
(Tip: use a stopwatch for this exercise)
Complete this exercise with 2 sets of 30 oblique ab crunches as seen on Day 5.

Daily pinch-and-roll massage

To tackle cellulite, the pinch-and-roll massage is one of the most effective techniques out there.
This technique involves kneading the skin to stimulate lipolysis, which helps release fat from adipose cells while boosting circulation — both venous and lymphatic.
These actions help target cellulite and the orange-peel effect, as well as reducing water retention. Ideal for eliminating toxins beneath the skin, this massage can be performed with a device, by a professional, or by hand.
The movement should always go from bottom to top to improve circulation. Although this technique can sometimes be uncomfortable, it is remarkably effective on all types of cellulite. A few basic principles should be followed:
The massage should always be performed on skin that has been oiled beforehand.
The pinch-and-roll technique should not be used on skin with open wounds, as it may worsen injuries and interfere with healing.
