  • Finally, during longer fasts, it draws on muscle proteins

The simplest way to start is to use the night — when your body is at rest — as your fasting window. So drink water, tea and herbal infusions.

  • In a bowl, pour the equivalent of 3 large handfuls of quality coarse salt (Guérande, Himalayan, Epsom or Dead Sea salt).
  • Make a well in the centre and add a natural vegetable oil (such as sweet almond oil, for example)
  • Then add 50 drops of Atlas Cedar essential oil, known for its excellent draining properties, and 50 drops of grapefruit essential oil, detoxifying and anti-cellulite.
  • Mix everything together with a spatula to thoroughly coat the salt with the oil and essential oils.
  • Transfer the mixture into a jar: these bath salts keep very well.
  • For each bath, add a generous handful of your detox bath salts to warm water.
