We’re never far from a little overindulgence: a boozy weekend, a lavish family dinner, a best friend’s wedding, the holiday season… So many temptations we end up giving in to, with not-so-great results. Dull complexion, extra pounds, brittle hair, zero energy. Sound familiar? Us too! Maybe it’s high time to embrace a detox. But what are the best ways to detox your body?

- Rehydrate the body after a night’s sleep
- Prime the digestive system and support regularity
- Balance the body’s pH levels
- Support weight management
- Boost energy levels thanks to vitamin C
- Promote the elimination of toxins – diuretic effect
- Reduce inflammation
The perfect way to detox your body, right from themoment you wake up!
Tip no2: eat fruits and vegetables at every meal

It’s more common sense than a real secret, and yet… it’s always worth repeating: fruits and vegetables at every meal are your best guarantee of a deep body detox! Fruits and vegetables are packed with vitamins and minerals that our bodies truly need, especially in winter. They also contain antioxidants, which are highly effective against oxidative stress, inflammation and premature ageing. So let’s bring some colour (and flavour) to the plate:
- Foods rich inpotassium, ideal against water retention: spinach, fennel, sun-dried tomatoes, seaweed, spices (cumin, curry, ginger, coriander…), parsley, dried fruits, Swiss chard, beetroot.
- Diuretic foods, to support the elimination of toxins: lettuce, cucumber, aubergine, artichoke, courgette, asparagus, citrus fruits, pineapple.
- Fibre-rich foods, for sluggish digestion: broccoli, avocado, kiwi, dried figs, legumes, prunes, pears, cauliflower, leeks, apples.
- Foods rich in vitamins A and C, for energy: sweet potato, grapefruit, orange, bell pepper, mango, pumpkin.
If you’re starting a fruit and vegetable cleanse to detox your body, begin with cooked and warm preparations (steamed, stewed, as soup…) to be gentle on your digestive organs. Then gradually introduce raw foods to make the most of all their nutritional benefits.
Tip no3: stay well hydrated to drain better

We’ve already talked aboutlemonwater… But you’ll need to complement it with thorough hydration to truly detox your body. Water remains the best detox drink (alternate between magnesium-rich waters and low-mineral waters). But if you struggle to drink enough, you can also turn to otherbeverages:
- Tea, and green tea in particular, is an excellent natural diuretic. It helps eliminate nitrogenous waste and sodium, and is packed with antioxidants. Not sure which tea to choose? Take a look at ourSlimming Tea: it supports digestion, detoxifies the body and helps burn fat!
- Certain herbalinfusions are excellent detox boosters, particularly those rich in ash tree, hibiscus, Java tea, mouse-ear hawkweed, cherry stalks ormeadowsweet. Good news: ourDetox Infusioncontains several of these plants! A two-week course can only do you good — 85% of women who’ve tried our herbal tea will tell you the same!
- Green juicesare also great for detoxifying the body. Rich in vitamins and minerals, highly digestible and hydrating, they’re well worth making a habit of. Use your favourite ingredients (cucumber, spinach, Granny Smith apple, celery, berries, black radish) and mix it up with the seasons!
- Drainage supplements, added to your drinking water, can also be a valuable support. Take ourCellulite Drainerfor example: a formula that is 98.3% natural in origin, featuring plants recognised for their detoxifying and lipolytic properties, with a delicate pineapple flavour. Simply dilute 20 ml of our drainer in water each day and drink it with a meal or throughout the day. Detox and anti-cellulite action, guaranteed!
Tip no4: cut back on salt
You may already know this, butsalt is the enemy of detox. Sodium acts as a true “water trap”. If you eat a lot of salty food, don’t be surprised to find yourself dealing withwater retentionand feelingbloated. To detox your body, you’ll need to significantly reduce your daily salt intake. And it’s not just about the salt you add to your dishes — it’s also the hidden salt lurking throughout your kitchen: ready-made sauces, cheese (especially aged varieties), cured meats (we said detox!), shop-bought soups, tinned vegetables and fish… It hides in so many products. Opt for home-cooked meals and the most natural ingredients possible — that way you’ll know exactly how much sodium you’re consuming.
Tip no5: sweat it out to eliminate toxins

The body’s waste products are expelled through the emunctory organs: the kidneys, liver, lungs, intestines… and the skin! The skin does indeed eliminate some toxins through its pores, via sebum and perspiration. So why not give it a helping hand? There are several ways to boost sweating and encourage a deep detox:
- Steam baths, saunas and hammams are excellent ways to “cleanse” the body from within. Under the effect of heat, the pores open up and the body sweats to maintain its temperature.
- What about tryingBikram yoga ? This fairly intense style of yoga is practised in a heated room to maximise sweating and release the body of tension and toxins.
- Exercise, especially endurance-based activities practised over longer sessions, remains one of the best ways to sweat healthily. And as a bonus, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of regular physical activity: weight management, improved mood, reduced risk of illness…
Tip no6: breathe deeply
Since we’re talking about elimination organs, why not pay some attention to our lungs? They deserve just as much care! To detox your body, deep breathing is highly recommended. Regular physical activity improves respiratory capacity, but you can also benefit from regular sessions of abdominal breathing. You can practise at any time of day, even at your desk:
- The inhale begins at the pelvic floor, then rises through thebelly, the abdomen, the lungs, all the way up to the collarbones. A deep, complete breath engages the entire torso.
- The exhale follows the reverse path, like a bottle emptying from the bottom up.
Every day, take at least five minutes to practise this deep breathing — eyes closed, tuning into the sensations of your body. Admit it, it feels wonderful, and your mind is so much clearer afterwards! A bonus benefit of this breathing technique: it helps tone aflat stomach!
Tip no7: cut out excess
It’s hard to embark on a detox without taking a closer look at your lifestyle… Time to tackle all kinds of excess:
- Restorerestful sleep by re-establishing regular wake and bedtimes and creating the right conditions for rest (complete darkness, no screens, a comfortable temperature, cosy sleepwear).
- Cut out cigarettes andalcohol, both of which are significant sources of toxins for the body.
- Reduce your intake of fatty and/orsugary foods, which clog the digestive system and are the main culprit behind stubborn fat and cellulite.
- Embrace a more active lifestyle, as a sedentary routine is the leading cause of excess weight, back pain, cardiovascular issues and other unwelcome conditions.
To detox your body, restoring a healthy life balance and minimising sources of oxidative stress is key.
Tip no8: learn to reconnect with yourself

Detoxing your body… but what about your mind? It’s just as important to cleanse your thoughts, because we know how muchstress can take a toll on both body and mood! The best way to do this? Meditation. Take a few minutes each day to come back to yourself. A quiet space, comfortable clothes, and you’re ready to begin!
- Find a comfortable position: lying down, cross-legged, whatever feels right for you.
- Close your eyes to help yourself unwind.
- Breathe deeply — your breathing will naturally settle into a calm, steady rhythm as you go.
- From there, find the technique that works for you: a mantra, positive visualisation, gently observing the thoughts that pass through your mind, or a full body scan…
You can use a meditation app on your phone to guide your practice, or explore books on meditation and mindfulness — there are plenty to choose from. Be patient with yourself: the benefits of meditation on body and mind reveal themselves gradually.
