Take care of your skin to tackle the look of cellulite! Exfoliating your skin every week is an essential step to naturally reveal its full beauty. We suggest complementing your CelluBlue cup with simple homemade scrubs tailored to your cellulite type!
Exfoliate your skin according to your cellulite type
Your cellulite is barely visible
If your cellulite is not yet fully established and only shows in certain areas when you pinch your skin, opt for a gentle almond powder and honey scrub! You will need 3 tablespoons of almond powder, 3 teaspoons of honey and 3 tablespoons of orange blossom water.
This will give you a very gentle paste, ideal for moisturising and softening your skin. It is best to apply this paste to specific targeted areas, without massaging. Leave on for 10 minutes, then use small circular movements to break up the paste and remove dead skin cells. Rinse off with cold water!
Your cellulite is more noticeable in certain areas
If your cellulite is already more present and pronounced, go for the fine salt and shea butter scrub: you will need 3 tablespoons of shea butter, just over a tablespoon of fine sea salt and 3 drops of lavender essential oil.
The salt gives you an invigorating scrub, while the shea butter protects your skin so it isn’t damaged. This creates a paste you can use to massage your skin for several minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with cold water for a refreshing, invigorating feel!

- In the shower, two to three times a week, massaging your thighs, bottom and stomach
Your cellulite is deep-set and sometimes painful
For stubborn and fibrous cellulite, it’s time to exfoliate without holding back! Go for the coarse salt and grapefruit scrub: you will need 3 heaped tablespoons of coarse salt, 4 tablespoons of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of honey and 10 drops of pink grapefruit essential oil.
Grapefruit is an ingredient often chosen for natural anti-cellulite skincare. As for the coarse salt, it will help you deeply exfoliate the skin. Apply the mixture to damp skin using circular movements for several minutes. Then rinse with cold water, using a powerful jet of water if possible!
Making your scrub part of an everyday routine
Knowing how to exfoliate your skin is most useful when you link it to a simple routine you can repeat. The easiest approach is to start from your cellulite type, then check what you can realistically fit into your week.
Exfoliate once a week, without rushing
There’s no need to rush by adding extra sessions: exfoliating once a week remains the recommended pace, to avoid being too harsh on your skin. Simply choose the recipe that matches your cellulite type.
Your scrub prepares your skin for the other steps in your routine, such as massaging with your anti-cellulite cupping cup. If you’re short on time to make a homemade recipe, a ready-to-use body scrub can take over. Finish with a cold-water rinse, just like in the recipes above.
Frequently asked questions
Can a body scrub get rid of cellulite?
No, a scrub won’t make cellulite disappear. It’s a skincare step that removes dead skin cells and leaves your skin feeling softer. It complements massaging with your cupping cup as part of a regular routine, rather than replacing it.
What should I do if my cellulite is painful?
If your cellulite hurts, ask your GP or another medical professional for advice before starting to use a scrub or massage.
