Is a bloated stomach your number one insecurity? There are effective solutions to debloat your stomach using entirely natural methods. Today we’re sharing 6 essential tips to help you get there and finally show off a flat, toned tummy!

Tip 1: watch what you eat

dégonfler son ventre alimentationExcess fat, water retention… A bloated stomach can have a thousand and one causes! To debloat, the first step is to adjust your diet and drink plenty of water. Focus on detox foods and draining ingredients, such as fruits, vegetables, spices and lean meats… And try to cut back on starchy foods, red meat and dairy products.

Harness the benefits of teas and herbal infusions.

When your stomach is bloated, certain herbal infusions can bring real relief. Their diuretic properties help eliminate excess water, while other plants support better digestion, which can help reduce bloating. Adding one to two cups of herbal tea a day can therefore be a valuable ally in achieving a flatter stomach and a feeling of lightness.

We created a 20-Day Detox Programme with 3 targeted herbal teas and infusions to support digestion and reduce bloating.

Tip 2: choose the right activities

And when it comes to cardio, focus on burning fat! You can try swimming, running, boxing or even zumba, for example. Aim for at least 3 cardio sessions per week, and walk as much as possible to burn calories and support digestion!

Tip 4: breathe and de-stress!

Could the presence of neurons behind our abdominal wall explain why our stomach reacts to the slightest upset, swelling with our moods? To debloat, it’s recommended to breathe deeply and meditate. Why?

  • Because abdominal breathing strengthens the core from within: by practising deep breathing, you engage the entire abdominal belt. This tones both the rectus abdominis and the transverse muscle.

  • Because breathing, combined with meditation, helps you de-stress. And it’s well established that chronic stress affects sleep quality, cardiovascular health, immunity… and weight!

  • Because breathing helps boost digestion. Belly breathing restarts healthy intestinal function and helps restore a balanced digestive rhythm. Goodbye, bloated stomach!

Tip 5: explore probiotics

“Probio” what? Probiotics! Our digestive system is home to a microbiome: a unique community of bacteria, different for each of us, that helps us digest everything we eat. However, this microbiome can sometimes be weakened by illness or medication.

The result: a bloated stomach and a general sense of discomfort. So, to debloat and regain a firmer tummy, why not try a probiotic course? You can find them in your everyday diet. Simply add foods such as apple cider vinegar, yoghurt, kefir, olives, chicory, kombucha, tempeh or brewer’s yeast to your meals.

Tip 6: keep drinking, always!

dégonfler son ventre hydratationWe say it time and again: water is everything! The body is made up of around 65% water… which means staying well hydrated is absolutely essential. Your stomach, like the rest of your body, needs water to function properly – and to debloat.

  • If you’re prone to abdominal water retention, good hydration (1.5 to 2 litres of water a day) will make a noticeable difference.

  • Hydration helps combat sluggish digestion and regulate bowel movements. If your bloated stomach is the result of chronic constipation, drinking water regularly (especially magnesium-rich water) should help resolve the issue.

  • Water helps flush toxins from the body. If you’ve overindulged, or if your lifestyle has been a little hectic, drinking more water will help you “reset” and deeply detoxify. Your stomach will be the first to feel the benefits – and it’ll deflate in no time!
