We all need a little help sometimes, especially when it comes to fighting cellulite! Discover the flaxseed infusion — a drink packed with essential nutrients to help smooth away dimples, detoxify the body, and support weight loss. All as part of a healthy lifestyle, of course!
The benefits of flaxseeds for the body
Before exploring the slimming and anti-cellulite properties of flaxseeds, let’s take a closer look at their general benefits for the body. Because this little brown seed has a lot to offer!
- A friend to sluggish digestion: its high content of fibre (27.3g per 100g) makes it a great ally against constipation. Gentle on the intestinal lining, it’s well worth including in your diet.
- Plant-based protein: flaxseeds are an excellent source of protein, making them a favourite among vegetarians, vegans, and anyone looking to eat less meat in favour of plant-based proteins.
- Gluten-free: flaxseeds contain no gluten, making them perfectly suitable for those with gluten allergies or intolerances.
- Cardiovascular support: one of flaxseeds’ greatest strengths is their content of mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids — the good fats that help protect veins and arteries.
- Protective antioxidants: they contain lignans, antioxidants that are particularly beneficial for the skin — helping to prevent dryness and slow down skin ageing.
- Phyto-oestrogen: those same lignans act as a natural oestrogen, meaning flaxseeds may help ease the uncomfortable symptoms of menopause — goodbye, hot flushes! They may also play a role in the prevention of female-specific cancers (particularly breast cancer).
- Anti-anaemic: the iron content of flaxseeds makes them an ideal companion for women with anaemia — which, let’s be honest, is most of us (thanks, periods!).
The benefits of flaxseeds for weight loss and against cellulite

Magnesium, zinc, iron, potassium, omega-3 and omega-6… Flaxseeds really do have it all! Low in calories, a flaxseed infusion helps curb hunger and reduce snacking while giving your metabolism a boost. Beyond fighting cellulite, flaxseeds are recognised for their benefits against diabetes, high blood pressure, and premature cell ageing. So why not concentrate all the goodness of this remarkable ingredient into a delicious infusion that’s incredibly easy to make!
How to prepare a flaxseed infusion?

Ideally, follow a ten-day course, then take a ten-day break before starting again. As a complement, don’t forget to adjust your diet (fresh produce, adequate protein intake, herbal teas, etc.) and mix up your physical activities!
Other ways to use flaxseeds
Beyond the flaxseed infusion, you can use these little seeds (brown or golden — it doesn’t matter!) in a variety of ways:
- As a powder: simply grind your flaxseeds and add the powder to recipes of your choice — bread or crêpe batter, as a seasoning for various dishes, a sauce binder, or stirred into porridge…
- As an oil: flaxseed oil is widely available. Opt for an organic, cold-pressed variety. Avoid heating it and use it for dressings instead. Store it in the fridge and use it within 3 months of opening. Flaxseed oil is also excellent as a skin and hair treatment. It helps rebalance sebum production in oily skin, nourishes dry skin and hair, and may even be beneficial for stretch marks !
- As a poultice: if you suffer from skin inflammation, steep 50g of crushed or ground flaxseeds in boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes, then apply the warm, moist mixture as a poultice to the affected area.
- Sprouted: you can easily sprout your flaxseeds and add them to salads as a wholesome ingredient in their own right!
- Toasted: you can also toast or roast your flaxseeds and sprinkle them lightly (yes, we did say lightly!) with salt. They make a healthy, satisfying little snack that’s as tasty as it is good for you!
