Have you ever tried green clay as a body treatment? Discover an original DIY recipe to add to your body care routine. All you need is a little baking soda, some coffee grounds and green clay to make a homemade poultice!
How to prepare the green clay treatment?

A homemade anti-cellulite poultice takes just three simple ingredients. Here is the step-by-step recipe, the role each ingredient plays and our tips for fitting it into your routine.
Preparing this anti-cellulite poultice only takes 5 short minutes! You will need:
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 3 teaspoons of coffee grounds
- 4 teaspoons of green clay
For the green clay, you can use powder or paste.
Clay powder:

Clay paste:

Preparation:
First, mix these three ingredients in a bowl, then gradually add a little water. The goal is to obtain a smooth, creamy paste that is slightly thick.
Finally, apply this poultice by massaging it in with circular movements. You can use it on any area where you have cellulite: stomach, thighs, buttocks, arms… Then leave it on for about fifteen minutes and rinse off with cool water.
What are the benefits of the poultice?
Coffee grounds
The coffee grounds in this recipe give the poultice its gentle scrub texture. But that’s not all: the poultice is applied with a massage, a step that fits well into a routine to tackle the look of orange-peel skin.
Baking soda
Baking soda simply helps to round off the mixture: combined with the coffee grounds, it adds to the scrub texture.
Green clay
As for green clay, it is massaged in here along with the rest of the mixture. It contains minerals and trace elements. To find out more about circulation and heavy legs, read our dedicated article.
