When holiday meals pile up and workouts become less frequent, it’s essential to keep taking care of your body and skin! Today we’re sharing 5 treatments you can easily make at home. Simple and refreshing — these DIYs are perfect for the holiday season!
My DIY body care treatments: belly massage cream

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of your usual body moisturiser
- 5 drops of clary sage essential oil
- 6 drops of tropical basil essential oil
- 5 drops of lemon essential oil
Method
This treatment couldn’t be simpler to make! In a small bowl, pour the 2 tablespoons of moisturiser, then add the drops of each essential oil. Mix well, then apply the treatment all over the belly area using circular movements. Ideally, apply it after your evening shower. Repeat for up to 15 days.
As well as hydrating your skin with the base moisturiser, the massage movements make applying the cream a pleasant moment. Clary sage essential oil is a popular ingredient in skincare. And you’re probably already familiar with lemon essential oil: it’s a go-to for a refreshing feel on the skin.

- the juice of two grapefruits
Method
Grapefruit gives this treatment a fresh, zesty touch! Start by mixing the grapefruit juice into the fresh cream. Then apply the treatment to your skin, massaging with circular movements. Repeat morning and evening for 1 week!
