Hello to the entire #CelluBlueteam! Today is Day 6 of your Fitness Challenge — keep pushing! Sculpting your body takes time and effort, but you’ll feel better in your body and in your mind!

Today we’re working on the arms! Often overlooked, they deserve some dedicated attention!

EXERCISES

Exercise 1: Dumbbell Bicep Curls

For this exercise, you’ll need 2 small 2 kg dumbbells or 2 full water bottles.

Stand up straight with a dumbbell in each hand, arms at your sides. Curl your forearms and hands up toward your shoulders, then slowly lower them back down.

Repeat the exercise 10 times.

Exercise 2: Overhead Dumbbell Extensions

Pick up your dumbbells or bottles again for this second exercise. Standing tall with your back straight, hold a dumbbell in each hand and extend one arm straight up toward the ceiling. Then bring that arm back down behind your shoulder.

Do 10 repetitions on each arm!

Exercise 3: Chest Press with Dumbbells

Keep your dumbbells for this last exercise. Bend both arms at a 90° angle and raise them to shoulder height on each side.

Bring your forearms and elbows together in front of your face, then open them back out to return to the starting position.

Repeat the exercise 10 times.

How to avoid muscle soreness?

To avoid feeling too sore the day after a workout — even though some muscle aches are perfectly normal — follow these tips:

  • Warm up properly before each session
  • Stay hydrated
  • Stretch thoroughly
  • Take a warm bath
  • Massage yourself
