If you’re on a diet, or if you’ve recently lost a lot of weight, your skin may be struggling to keep up! If that’s the case, here are our tips to help you firm up your skin and restore its elasticity!
Sommaire
Be careful not to lose weight too fast!
Sagging skin can simply be a sign that it’s time to slow down your weight loss. A stabilisation period may be all it takes to give your skin time to adjust to your new body.
After that, you can start a new slimming phase, gradually and only if needed. If you push through at the same pace, your skin will keep losing elasticity and it will become increasingly difficult to improve its appearance.
Stay hydrated!

But also from the outside! Moisturise your skin with a cream enriched with Vitamin E, for example, to help your cells renew themselves. It will also help reduce the appearance of fine lines! Good news, right?
Get moving!

The most effective approach is strength training, 3 times a week! This is especially important if you’ve drastically cut your calories, as you’ve likely lost some muscle mass along the way. So to look and feel your best, and to firm up your legs and tummy, head to the gym!
Take time to exfoliate and massage!
Or treat yourself to a professional massage! Ideally, 1 to 2 massages per week to stimulate blood circulation and improve skin texture. When it comes to exfoliation, sea salt scrubs tend to be the most effective.
Take a closer look at your plate
Certain foods can encourage the production of collagen and elastin, the proteins responsible for your skin’s strength and elasticity. Prioritise foods rich in:
- Vitamin C: Blackcurrants, parsley, bell peppers, fresh herbs, kiwi, citrus fruits, berries.
- Vitamin A: Offal, carrots, sweet potato, pumpkin, spinach, cabbage.
- Vitamin E: Natural vegetable oils such as wheat germ, sunflower or rapeseed oil, nuts, dried apricots, avocado.
- Vitamin B5: Offal, mushrooms, oily fish (salmon) or white fish (cod).
- Copper: Offal, shellfish and seafood, nuts, legumes, whole grains.
- Zinc: Oysters, beef, cheese, cocoa.
These nutrients help your skin regain firmness.
Protect your skin from heat sources
Sun, central heating, hot baths… we know they feel wonderful! But be mindful about exposing your skin to excessive heat. Prolonged sun exposure dries out the skin and leads to loss of firmness. As for overheating indoors, it slows blood circulation through a vasodilatory effect, encouraging fluid retention and puffiness. None of that is good for firming your skin!
Opt for cold instead, for its skin-tightening effect. Try contrast showers: alternating between cold and warm water. Your skin will feel instantly toned! And if you want to take the benefits of a cold shower even further, nothing beats our Cryo Fever range. Inspired by cryotherapy, enriched with arctic algae and menthol (just thinking about it gives us chills!), it’s perfectly designed to:
- Firm the skin, thanks to its sorbet-like texture that glides on smoothly and absorbs quickly.
- Support inch loss, through its slimming and stimulating action.
Whatever area you want to target, we’ve got you covered — choose between the Cold Slimming Gel Thighs & Buttocks and the Cold Gel Stomach & Hips. Or why not both, if you feel you need them!
Embrace Aloe Vera
Antioxidant, protective, nourishing — Aloe Vera is a true ally for beautiful skin. It boosts the growth of fibroblasts, the cells responsible for maintaining skin elasticity. Aloe Vera is widely used in anti-ageing and soothing skincare (for example, after sun exposure). It’s also an excellent natural moisturiser, as the gel forms a protective, hydrating film on the skin’s surface. It may also help firm your skin after weight loss.
You can go for the most natural option and apply pure Aloe Vera pulp as a body mask. You can also look for skincare products enriched with Aloe Vera extracts, organic where possible. Check the labels, which should indicate the concentration of Aloe Vera.
Take time to massage
To firm your skin, you also need to stimulate it! A regular exfoliation and massage routine is the best way to boost skin renewal, improve veno-lymphatic circulation and tone the muscles. Our Vibration Massager will be your best ally!
The Vibration Massager comes with three interchangeable heads that work in turn to break down fat deposits, reshape the silhouette and tone the skin. The device’s power (1800 rotations per minute) is ideal — effective for slimming without being harsh on the skin.
Use it daily for 21 days, then maintain results with 2 to 3 sessions per week. With regular stimulation, your skin should visibly gain in firmness.

Above all… be patient!
After losing weight, it’s natural to want to feel your best straight away! But you need to follow your body’s rhythm and take care of yourself from head to toe.
Keep in mind that skin elasticity depends on several factors — including age. A young mother, for example, will generally find it easier to firm her tummy after pregnancy than a woman in her forties who has lost 30 kilos.
In the second case, it will simply take more time. And the final result may still be less toned and firm. But that’s perfectly normal — our bodies age, and they’ve been through a lot! Learning to embrace and accept your new body is the final step in this journey!
