Still underused in Western kitchens, ginger actually has a lot to offer when it comes to slimming benefits. It’s filling, draining, and it boosts our metabolism. To make the most of its benefits, we’ve put together a few ginger recipes to help you eat well, slim down, and tackle cellulite effectively. Time to get cooking!

What makes ginger so effective against cellulite?

Thermogenic effect

Ginger is indeed one of those foods known as thermogenic. It raises body temperature and stimulates the metabolism. A study from Maastricht University in the Netherlands highlighted its role as a natural fat burner. Ginger may also increase the number of calories our body burns. In practical terms, it helps your body break down ingested fats before they settle into cells and turn into unwanted dimples. It’s precisely this fat-burning effect that makes it such a powerful tool against cellulite.

Improves blood circulation

Another lesser-known benefit of ginger is its ability to stimulate blood circulation. Ginger contains chromium, magnesium, and zinc, all of which support healthy blood and lymphatic circulation. And better circulation means saying goodbye to heavy legs, swelling, and water-retention cellulite!

How to use ginger?

In cooking, ginger can be used in the form of dried powder, or you can also grate the fresh root.

Ginger works particularly well when used as an infusion, with lemon for its antioxidant effect and a touch of honey to balance its bitterness. Lemon also adds an anti-cellulite and detoxifying action. It’s a true three-in-one effect!

You can also use it as a body oil. Ginger essential oil has some interesting properties, as it helps eliminate toxins and reduce water retention. It also supports fat elimination to help refine the silhouette.
