Are you looking to reduce the appearance of orange peel skin and dimples that affect your skin, especially on your buttocks? Have you tried everything and given up hope? Yet cellulite doesn’t have to be permanent.

Here are 3 anti-cellulite self-massage techniques to help you achieve smoother, firmer skin:

Cellulite is the swelling of subcutaneous tissue that gives skin a bumpy appearance. Dimples are formed by fat cells (adipocytes) that accumulate mainly in the thighs, hips and buttocks.
Effective treatments therefore require a combined approach:

  1. Choose an appropriate buttocks massage technique.
  2. Pair it with a balanced diet and targeted buttocks exercises to tone your muscles.
  3. Complete your routine with slimming creams and draining herbal teas.

Anti-cellulite massage: preliminary tips

Anti-cellulite massage is essential for tackling cellulite. Here are a few tips to get the most out of your sessions:

  • Stand up and slightly part your legs, keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground.
  • Always oil your buttocks beforehand. You can also massage in the shower on soapy skin. For lymphatic drainage, use a brush and the anti-cellulite cup.
  • Always massage from the bottom upwards.
  • If it feels uncomfortable, remember to breathe deeply.
  • After each session, rehydrate (water or herbal tea) to help flush out toxins.
  • Practice these massages daily for lasting results.

The pinch-and-roll technique on the buttocks: the traditional anti-cellulite massage method

You can perform the pinch-and-roll massage using an anti-cellulite cup or simply with your hands. A manual pinch-and-roll massage requires more effort than using an anti-cellulite cup and takes a little practice!

Here is how to perform the manual pinch-and-roll:

  • Start with a light effleurage stroke, applying no pressure and keeping your fingers relaxed.
  • Begin the pinch-and-roll with one hand on each side, pinching the skin between your thumb and fingers, then releasing.
  • Alternate between pinching and releasing, working across the entire skin surface.
  • Grasp the skin of your buttocks and lift it gently with your fingertips.
  • Press slightly without letting go, pull upwards and release. Repeat.
  • Continue for at least 5 to 10 minutes.

The anti-cellulite cup: the effective buttocks massage tool

Made from pure silicone, the Cellublue anti-cellulite cup replicates the pinch-and-roll technique described above. It makes it easier and more effective to massage your skin. Results are visible in as little as 7 days!

  • Apply massage oil to the areas affected by cellulite (the cup should glide smoothly over your skin).
  • Squeeze the sides of the cup between your fingers to expel the air.
  • Place the cup at the bottom of the area you want to treat, without releasing the sides.
  • Control the suction by gently pressing the sides to release more or less air.
  • Glide the cup following the movements shown in the instructions.

Here are the movements to use for the anti-cellulite buttocks massage with your Cellublue anti-cellulite cup. For best results, try resting your leg on a stool to make it easier to reach your buttocks.

1 minute

Place the cup at the bottom of the buttock and glide upwards in vertical strokes. Always work from the bottom to the top of the area. Repeat.

1 minute

Continue with smoothing strokes from the inside to the outside of the area. Repeat.

1 minute

Follow with circular movements over the area.
Repeat.

Lymphatic dry brushing

There are many types of brushes available for an anti-cellulite buttocks massage, all easy to use.

  • Choose a specialist massage brush with a blend of soft and firm bristles (agave fibres and horsehair or silk).
  • Start at the inner curve of the buttock. Brush outwards. Work your way up to the top of the buttock.
  • Direct the lymph flow towards the groin crease.
  • Repeat the movements on the other buttock.
  • Apply a massage oil after brushing to nourish and hydrate your skin.
