Skipping breakfast

More broadly, skipping any meal — whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner — is genuinely not recommended if you want to slim down and reduce cellulite. According to a 2015 American study, this habit can actually cause weight gain and fat storage. Here’s why: throughout the day, liver cells produce glucose to keep your body functioning. This production stops after a meal, when a surge of sugar enters the bloodstream — the post-meal insulin spike. But if you regularly skip meals, this disrupts your body’s usual signalling. Your liver becomes insulin-resistant and continues producing glucose even after you’ve eaten. The result? Excess sugar gets stored around the abdomen, and stubborn fat and cellulite take hold.
