Hello ladies,

Ready for Day 9 of the 2016 Challenge: Eat, Move, Change?

Let’s get motivated this Sunday morning, ladies!
Have you had your big glass of warm lemon juice to detox your body? This should now become a daily ritual!

TODAY’S RECIPE

What could be better than a homemade pancake recipe on a Sunday? Heartier than crêpes and smaller in size, so you can enjoy several 🙂

Ingredients – makes about 8 pancakes:
4 tablespoons of cornstarch
4 tablespoons of fat-free fromage blanc (or plain Greek yogurt)
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of sugar (or 1 sachet of vanilla sugar)
a pinch of baking powder (about 1/4 of a sachet)
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together: the cornstarch, fromage blanc, eggs, sugar and baking powder until you get a smooth batter (you can use an electric mixer or a whisk).
Then, in a hot pan, pour a small ladleful of batter into the centre. Flip the pancake once you see small bubbles appearing on the surface. Enjoy!

Today’s exercise: the plank

2- Once in position, the goal is to engage your core as much as possible, along with the rest of your body.
3- The most important thing when doing a plank is not to raise or drop your hips. Your body should stay as straight as possible, in a horizontal line.
4- To come out of the position, gently lower your knees to the floor and straighten your arms, placing them alongside your body.
Fitness challenge: hold 4 x 30-second planks! You’ve got this 🙂

Today’s tip: have a snack

Some people think that having a snack leads to weight gain. But think again… It’s far better to plan a healthy snack if you feel peckish in the afternoon, rather than holding out until dinner and eating too much in the evening.
That pattern is far more likely to lead to weight gain! You may not know it, but eating actually activates your metabolism and helps burn calories. If you eat several times a day, you keep your body active and avoid the fat storage that contributes to the appearance of cellulite.
And of course, your stomach stays satisfied, which helps you avoid compulsive snacking and structure your daily diet more effectively. But to make it work, you need to choose wisely: a well-chosen snack makes all the difference!
> Our ideas for a healthy and indulgent snack (morning or afternoon):
  • A handful of nuts and dried fruits (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, etc.)
  • A dairy option (a bowl of fromage blanc, a piece of cheese, etc.)
  • A piece of fruit (apple, banana, mixed berries) or a fruit salad
  • A smoothie, a fresh fruit juice, a tea, a herbal infusion, or lemon water
  • Frozen fruit ice lollies for summer (watermelon, melon, etc.).
  • A slice of wholegrain bread with a little jam, lean ham or maple syrup
You can even treat yourself to a slice of homemade cake or two squares of dark chocolate! The key is to avoid pastries and foods that are too sugary or too fatty – they offer very little benefit to your body or your skin. You’ll quickly notice the results of this new healthy habit! Feel free to combine a few items from the list and add a drink. Mix up your snacks with the seasons and your cravings!
