The weekend is finally here!
Welcome to Day 8 of the 2016 Challenge: Eat, Move, Change!
Come on, ladies — let’s make the most of the weekend to take care of ourselves and work through today’s challenge!

TODAY’S RECIPE

We’re starting the day with a homemade granola recipe you can stir into yoghurt, fromage blanc, or even use in your baking.
granola
Ingredients:
100 g almonds
50 g hazelnuts or pumpkin seeds
400 g organic rolled oats
50 g cranberries or goji berries
50 g raisins
6 tablespoons agave syrup or honey
50 ml sunflower oil
Method:
Roughly chop the almonds and hazelnuts.
Pour the rolled oats into a large bowl and add the remaining ingredients, finishing with the agave syrup and oil. Mix well.
Spread the mixture onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
Leave the granola to cool, then store in an airtight container.
You can easily prepare a whole week’s worth in one go.
It’s THE perfect mix to go with your breakfast!

Today’s exercise: the sumo squat

Capture d’écran 2016-01-07 à 14.32.131- Stand with your feet wider apart than for a classic squat (your feet should be set wider than shoulder-width), toes pointing outward.
2- Bend your knees while breathing in deeply, lowering until your hips are about 5 cm from the floor.
3- Keep your back straight — you should go lower than in a classic squat.
4- Exhale slowly as you rise back up to the starting position, squeezing your glutes on the way up.
Fitness challenge: complete 4 x 20 reps! You’ve got this, ladies!

Tired of looking tired? Fed up with dark circles and puffiness under your eyes? Here are a few 100% natural, easy-to-do-at-home tips to brighten your gaze and visibly reduce dark circles and puffiness.
Tip 1: cold therapy
Place two teaspoons in the freezer overnight. As soon as you wake up, hold them over your eyes, curved side against the skin. Leave for 4–5 minutes. You can do the same with ice cubes while gently massaging the under-eye area. To depuff eyelids, try keeping your skincare products in the fridge — it will amplify their effects and leave you with a wonderfully refreshing sensation.
Tip 2: green tea
Don’t throw away your tea bags! Let them cool in the fridge for 5 minutes. Then place one bag under each eye for 15 minutes before removing. This natural treatment helps to visibly reduce dark circles.
Tip 3: cucumber
The most well-known remedy of all: cucumber. Made up of 95% water, cucumber is a 100% natural moisturiser. Pop two slices in the freezer for 10–15 minutes, then apply one slice to each eye for around 10 minutes. Cucumber is ideal for soothing and depuffing tired eyes.
Tip 4: LiftBlue®
Just 5 minutes of daily massage with the facial cupping device LiftBlue®, morning or evening on clean, dry skin, helps to depuff the under-eye area, reduce dark circles, brighten tired eyes and stimulate skin microcirculation. Hello, fresh and radiant eyes!
