Grand Challenge 2015 – Day 6

SQUAT

The Challenge

As usual, we start the day with a large glass of water (with or without lemon) to detoxify the body, alongside a balanced breakfast.

This morning we suggest a glass of grapefruit juice + a bowl of cereal.

For dinner tonight, a homemade vegetable soup :

soupe legumes

Ingredients (serves 4) :
300g potatoes
2 leeks
3 carrots
1 shallot
2cl olive oil
2 pinches of salt

Method :
1. Peel the potatoes, carrots and shallots. Split the leeks lengthways, rinse them under water, then slice them. Cut the potatoes and carrots into small pieces. Finely slice the shallots.
2. In a saucepan with a little olive oil, sauté the shallots and leeks for 5 to 6 minutes and season with salt. Add the pre-washed potatoes and carrots, then cover everything with cold water. Simmer gently for 20 minutes.
3. Adjust the seasoning and serve in bowls.

SQUAT

Today’s exercise:
Today we suggest an exercise called the “SQUAT

This exercise helps to tone the thighs and glutes without adding muscle bulk, while effectively helping to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

POSITION
Standing with your legs apart, lower yourself until your thighs are parallel to the floor, then rise back up. For an effective workout, it is very important to control the descent by slowing it down slightly. Throughout the exercise, keep your back slightly arched, your knees stable, and make sure your heels never leave the floor.

PACE
Start with a set of 15 squats, then repeat this sequence 4 times, gradually increasing the number of squats with each session.
