The Challenge

The weekend is here! And just like every weekend, we have some balanced, easy-to-make breakfast recipes for you to try at home.

To kick off your Saturday morning on the right note, here is a vitamin- and energy-packed fruit salad:

Ingredients (serves 4):
• 2 peaches
• 1 punnet of strawberries
• 2 kiwis
• 1 banana
• 2 oranges
• 2 apples
• juice of 1 lemon

Preparation:
– Peel the oranges, peaches, kiwis and apples and cut them into pieces.
– Wash the strawberries and remove the stems.
– Slice the banana into rounds and drizzle with lemon juice to prevent browning.
– Combine all the fruit in a salad bowl and refrigerate. You can add vanilla sugar (maximum 1 sachet) if you prefer.

Today’s exercise – The most important one in the challenge: THE PINCH-AND-ROLL MASSAGE

To tackle cellulite, the pinch-and-roll is the most effective massage technique there is. This technique involves kneading the skin to stimulate lipolysis, which helps release fat from adipose cells while boosting both venous and lymphatic circulation. These actions help combat cellulite and the orange-peel effect, as well as reducing water retention. Ideal for eliminating toxins beneath the skin, this massage can be performed using a device, by a professional, or by hand.

The movement should always go from bottom to top to improve circulation. Although this technique can sometimes be uncomfortable, it is remarkably effective against all types of cellulite. A few basic principles should be followed:

The massage should always be performed on an area that has been oiled beforehand.
The pinch-and-roll should never be performed on broken or wounded skin, as this could worsen injuries and impair healing.

Today we present two methods, and these exercises will last ALL weekend so you can really get to grips with this technique — arguably the most important one in the entire Grand Challenge 2015.

This method requires nothing but energy, time, and patience to achieve the right precision.

For today, massage each area for 10 minutes.

This exercise will help tone your thighs and work on your stability.

Simply bend your left knee and extend your leg behind you.
Once you feel stable in this position, lower your right leg until your thigh is parallel to the floor, keeping your back straight throughout.
Return to the starting position and repeat around twenty times.

For the most motivated among you, follow up with a set of 30 ab exercises! And don’t forget to drink still water after every workout.

Validation step

It is very important for your coaching progress that you validate each step every day. This allows the coach to make sure you are still following the challenge correctly.
