The challenge

It’s Day 30 of the CelluBlue Body Challenge. The weekend is finally here! Only 2 days left in this Challenge! We hope you’re still feeling motivated!

As every day from now on: don’t forget your large glass of water (ideally with lemon) and your cold anti-cellulite shower (explained on Day 4).

To enjoy a lovely breakfast this weekend, here is the recipe for Homemade Cereal Bars :

barres cereales

Ingredients for 8 servings

200 g rolled oats
3 lemons (juice and zest)
1 vanilla pod
10 dried figs
8 tablespoons agave syrup

Preparation (20 min):

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Cut the dried figs into small pieces.
Split and scrape the vanilla pod to collect the seeds.
In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, fig pieces and vanilla seeds.
Then add the lemon juice, grated zest and agave syrup.
Mix everything together until you get a dough-like consistency. Leave to rest for 10 minutes at room temperature so the oats can swell.
Spread the mixture to a 1 cm thickness into small square or rectangular pastry moulds placed on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Press down firmly with a spoon. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the bars are lightly golden.
Leave to cool before eating. They can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.

Today’s exercises

Today we’re going to do a combination of exercises: Squats + scissors + abs — and we’ll go through the whole sequence twice!! Ready??

We start with the squat, an exercise we’ve already done together to tone the thighs and glutes without building bulk, while helping to effectively reduce cellulite.

squats

POSITION: Standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, lower yourself until your thighs are parallel to the floor, then rise back up. For an effective workout, it’s very important to control the descent by slowing it down slightly. Throughout the exercise, keep your back slightly arched, your knees stable, and make sure your heels never leave the floor.
PACE >> Complete 40 squats.

We continue with the scissors exercise:

ciseaux

POSITION: Lie on your back and raise both legs vertically. Cross your legs (right over left, then left over right) and then open them as wide as possible.
Repeat the movement: cross the right leg over the left, then the left over the right, open your legs wide, then cross them again. This exercise should be performed at a fairly sustained pace.
PACE >> Complete 2 sets of 20 reps (one on each side).

We finish our sequence with oblique abdominals:

abdos

POSITION: Lie on your back with your hands at ear level, raise your legs and bend your knees.
Your left knee should come to meet your right elbow (and vice versa, right knee to left elbow). During this movement, your other leg should be extended without touching the floor. Alternate the movement left/right.
PACE >> Complete 40 reps.

Once you’ve finished your first sequence, go through it all again once 🙂

The daily pinch-and-roll massage

palper rouler2

To tackle cellulite, the pinch-and-roll technique is the most effective massage method there is.
This technique involves kneading the skin to stimulate lipolysis, which helps to release fat from adipose cells while boosting circulation — both venous and lymphatic.
These actions help to combat cellulite and the orange-peel effect, as well as reducing water retention. Ideal for eliminating toxins beneath the skin, this massage can be performed using a device, by a professional, or by hand.

The movement should always go from bottom to top to improve circulation. Although this technique can sometimes be uncomfortable, it is remarkably effective against all types of cellulite. A few basic principles should nonetheless be followed:

The massage should always be performed on an area that has been oiled beforehand.
The pinch-and-roll technique should never be used on skin with open wounds, as this risks aggravating injuries and preventing proper healing.

The CelluBlue method:

Do you have a CelluBlue? Have you discovered our CelluBlue anti-cellulite cup?

This revolutionary little device makes the powerful pinch-and-roll massage technique incredibly easy to do at home to fight cellulite. Results are visible in just 3 weeks.

The manual method:

This method only requires energy (elbow grease!), a little more time since it is less effective than with the cup, and a touch of patience to get the right precision.
Watch the video below for the complete technique.
For today, massage each area for 10 minutes.
