15-Day Fitness Challenge: Day 3

Hello to the whole #CelluBlueTeam! Thank you for joining us for Day 3 of the Fitness Challenge!

Remember to do the exercises at your own pace and pay close attention to your form to avoid injury.

In today’s session, we’ll be working on the thighs and glutes — so you can look and feel your best on the beach this summer!

EXERCISES

Exercise 1: Leg Extensions

To perform this first exercise, get down on all fours with your forearms flat on the floor. Your knees should be positioned directly under your hips. Lift your right leg behind you and extend it upward, pointing your toes toward the ceiling. Slowly lower your knee, bringing it toward your chest, and just before it touches the floor, raise your leg back up again.

Repeat the movement 20 times on one side, then 20 times on the other.

Exercise 2: X Lunges

Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart and parallel. Bend your knees and, leaning your body forward, reach down to touch your right foot with your left hand. From the bottom position, push through your feet and jump into the air with your legs straight. Control your landing and touch down gently to avoid injury. Repeat the movement, this time touching your left foot with your right hand.

Repeat 10 times on each side.

Exercise 3: Squat

For this final exercise, return to the same starting position. Keeping your back as straight as possible, bend your knees until you reach a seated position: your glutes should push back, your torso leans slightly forward, and your knees must not go past your toes. To come back up, drive through your legs and squeeze your glutes for the best results!

Repeat 20 times.
