The challenge
This is Day 21 of the Cellublue Body Challenge.
As every day from now on: don’t forget your large glass of water (ideally with lemon) and your cold anti-cellulite shower (explained on Day 4).
For breakfast, this morning’s programme: a vitamin-packed milkshake to start your day feeling great! Quick and easy – go for 1 soy yoghurt + 1/2 glass of almond milk + 1 banana + 3 apricots.
If you have any left over, save it for tonight before your workout as a snack, or for tomorrow morning 🙂
For lunch, we suggest the recipe for aubergine caviar:
Ingredients (serves 4)
4 large aubergines
1 fat-free fromage blanc
1 lemon
A few pinches of cayenne pepper
1 garlic clove
Salt and pepper
Method
Preheat the oven to 210–240°C (gas mark 7–8).
Rinse the aubergines and place them in an ovenproof dish.
Roast for 20–30 minutes, without any added fat, turning them regularly. They should be tender.
Remove from the oven, leave to cool, then scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
Blend with the peeled garlic clove, fromage blanc, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.
Enjoy 🙂
New exercise: Flat stomach in 3 moves
For a flat, toned stomach, here are 3 easy core exercises to work your transverse and oblique abdominals:
1. Transverse abs:
Lie on a mat, back straight and arms alongside your body.
Then bring your hands up to ear level.
The exercise involves bringing your chin towards your chest using only your abs.
>>Do 2 sets of 30 reps.
2. Plank:
The forearm plank is performed resting on both elbows, placed on the floor.
Hold a stable position and be careful not to strain your back – keep it straight and look down at your hands on the floor.
>>Do 3 sets of 30 seconds to 1 minute.
3. Oblique abs:
Lie on your back, hands at ear level or cradling the back of your head, right leg bent and left foot resting on the right knee.
Movement: Lift your head, shoulders and upper back so your shoulder blades leave the floor. Direct your right elbow towards your left knee while exhaling slowly, then return to the starting position while inhaling. Complete all reps on the same side before switching; change sides once the first set is done.
>>Do 2 sets of 15 reps on each side.
Keep it up!
Your daily pinch-and-roll massage
To tackle cellulite, the pinch-and-roll technique is one of the most effective massage methods out there.
This technique involves kneading the skin to stimulate lipolysis, which helps release fat from adipose cells while boosting both venous and lymphatic circulation.
These actions help combat cellulite and the orange-peel effect, as well as reducing water retention. Ideal for eliminating toxins beneath the skin, this massage can be performed using a device, by a professional, or by hand.
The movement should always go from bottom to top to improve circulation. Although this technique can sometimes be uncomfortable, it is remarkably effective against all types of cellulite. A few basic principles should be followed:
The massage should always be performed on skin that has been oiled beforehand.
The pinch-and-roll technique should never be used on broken skin, as this could worsen injuries and interfere with healing.
