2016 Challenge: Day 4

To keep the week going strong, here’s a new recipe and a new workout for you!

We hope you’re feeling great and ready to keep up the momentum this week 🙂

Did you have your big glass of warm lemon juice to detox your body? This should now be part of your daily routine 🙂
For breakfast, have one or two of the cereal bars you made yesterday, along with a green tea and a clementine.

TODAY’S RECIPE

For lunch or dinner today, here is the recipe: stir-fried noodles with soy and vegetables.

Ingredients – serves 2:
1 packet of Chinese noodles
1 small can of bean sprouts (or a handful of fresh sprouts)
2 carrots
2 onions
2 handfuls of black mushrooms
Soy sauce
Olive oil

Method
Cook the noodles as directed on the packet, in a wok or a large saucepan.
Soak the black mushrooms in a large bowl of hot water.
Finely slice the vegetables. The finer the slices, the faster they will cook.
In a frying pan, sauté the onions in olive oil.
Add the carrots.
Once the carrots are tender, add the sliced mushrooms and bean sprouts.
Stir-fry for 5 minutes.
Add a tablespoon of soy sauce and a teaspoon of sugar, then stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.
Add the noodles and toss everything together until well combined.

Enjoy your noodles on their own or alongside a skinless chicken breast cooked without any added fat.

Today’s exercise: the scissors!

During this exercise, your abdominal muscles will be working hard – both the obliques and the core. Let’s go, time to work on that flat stomach!
Lie on your back with your arms above your head or along your sides. With your legs straight, lift them slightly off the floor while engaging your abs.

Make sure to keep your back flat against the floor to avoid any strain. Hold the position, then cross your legs while keeping them straight – alternate right leg over left and vice versa, then return to the starting position.

Complete several repetitions. You should feel your abs working – and above all, don’t go too fast, so your abs really get the benefit.

Fitness challenge: complete 4 sets of 15 repetitions.

Today’s tip: bye-bye wrinkles
