Borage, argan, jojoba… Do these names ring a bell? Plant oils are wonderful allies for taking care of yourself naturally and keeping your body looking its best. It’s no coincidence that they appear in the formulation of most body care products. Here’s a guide to the main plant oils and what they can do for you.

What is a plant oil?
Plant oils are fatty liquids obtained by cold-pressing oil-bearing plants that contain lipids. Some can be used in cooking, others in cosmetics or aromatherapy. Each oil has its own unique benefits — let’s take a closer look!
The main plant oils
Argan oil
This rare oil is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E. It has excellent moisturising properties and helps combat the signs of ageing. And that’s not all — argan oil can also help tackle acne and redness!
Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil beautifies and deeply nourishes the skin. It helps fade scars and stretch marks, even long-standing ones. It is one of the key ingredients in Cellublue’s anti-stretch mark oil.
Avocado oil
Thanks to its exceptionally rich vitamin content, this oil moisturises, protects and regenerates the skin. It is suitable for normal to dry skin types, but is not recommended for oily skin.
Sweet almond oil, one of the essential plant oils
Sweet almond oil is one of the best-known and most widely used plant oils. Rich in vitamins A and E, it helps firm, soften, nourish and soothe the skin. It is particularly well suited to targeting cellulite, and can be found in Cellublue’s massage oil!
Calendula oil
This anti-inflammatory oil can help support healthy blood circulation — a great ally for anyone dealing with heavy legs or water retention!
Sesame oil
Sesame oil helps soothe skin irritations and nourishes all skin types, restoring suppleness and radiance. It is also beneficial in targeting stretch marks.
Hazelnut oil
Finally, hazelnut oil is ideal for the face: it helps combat acne, moisturises and regulates sebum production.
There are many other plant oils to explore, such as sunflower oil, castor oil, apricot kernel oil, and Monoï oil with its irresistible summer scent! All of them have beneficial effects on the skin when chosen wisely.
How to use a plant oil?

For example, for your anti-cellulite pinch-and-roll massages, Cellublue’s massage oil is the perfect choice. And if you want to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, the anti-stretch mark oil with jojoba and sesame will be ideal.
You can also choose pure oils and apply them directly to your body. For a body application, massage in circular movements. For the face, apply gently, working from the centre outwards. For hair, apply from roots to ends, massaging the scalp thoroughly and distributing the product evenly. Wrap your hair in a towel — warm if possible, to help the oil absorb better — and leave on for 30 minutes to overnight!
Of course, you can also blend several plant oils together to enjoy their combined benefits.
