Grand Challenge 2015 – Day 24

Crunch abs

The challenge

For this first day of the weekend, we’re sharing a homemade gluten-free cookie recipe.

cookies

Prep time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients (makes about 8 cookies):

– 200 g chocolate (dark, milk or white)
– 150 g soft butter
– 125 g sugar
– 2 whole eggs
– 150 g rice flour
– 125 g whole hazelnuts, pecans, almonds, etc.
– 80 g desiccated coconut (optional)

Method:

• Preheat your oven to 200°C (gas mark 6-7).
• Beat the soft butter with the sugar, then add the eggs, flour and coconut.
• Roughly chop the nuts and chocolate with a knife to get larger chunks, then mix everything together.
• On a sheet of baking paper, drop small mounds of the mixture (you can use several trays at once).
• Bake your cookies for 15 min.
• Leave to cool and enjoy.

(Can be kept for several days in a food-safe bag.)

Don’t forget your morning rituals: a large glass of lemon water as soon as you get up, and in the bathroom, a splash of cool (or cold, for the brave ones) water on your legs.

Today’s exercise: the crunch

crunch abs

This exercise is normally done using your own bodyweight, with no equipment, but if you’d like a little help you can rest your legs on a chair to make the torso curl easier to initiate.

Lie on your back, hands on your thighs, legs resting on a chair.
The crunch involves sliding your hands along your thighs towards your knees while exhaling slowly, then returning to the starting position as you inhale.

Start with 8 sets of 10 crunches (if you want to work your abs every day, build up to 12 sets). Once you’ve mastered the movement, you can perform it without the chair — feet flat on the floor or legs raised with thighs vertical.

Then follow up this first exercise with the double crunch 🙂
What is it?

For the double crunch, you’ll also need to lie on the floor, back flat and straight. With your head lifted, bring your torso and knees towards each other until they meet. Then lower your legs as you inhale. Keep your legs straight and parallel to the floor, then repeat the movement. Your feet must never touch the floor.

Complete 10 repetitions and at least 5 sets. Good luck!

Today’s pinch-and-roll session

We’re focusing again on the pinch-and-roll, which is the most important exercise in the entire challenge. Some of you have let the coach know that you haven’t been doing your pinch-and-roll every day
No pinch-and-roll = no results at the end of the challenge

So don’t forget to complement your diet and fitness efforts with the pinch-and-roll massage every day or every other day, following our targeted exercise routine to tone up and break down the fat cells responsible for cellulite. You’ll quickly notice the benefits of these new daily habits!

As you know, the pinch-and-roll is the most effective massage technique there is.
The movement should always be performed from the bottom upwards to boost circulation. Although this technique can sometimes be uncomfortable, it is remarkably effective against all types of cellulite.
Please remember to follow these guidelines before you begin:

• The massage should always be performed on an area that has been oiled beforehand.
• The pinch-and-roll should never be used on broken skin, as this could worsen injuries and interfere with healing.
• You should drink at least half a litre of water after each session.

For those of you who have a CelluBlue cup, do a CelluBlue session this evening 🙂

A quick reminder on how to use your CelluBlue :
1. Oil the areas of your body affected by cellulite.
2. Pinch CelluBlue between your fingers to expel the air.
3. Apply CelluBlue to the areas with cellulite, then release — your skin is drawn into the cup.
4. Begin the massage: make targeted upward movements (for 3 minutes), side-to-side movements (for 1 minute), then circular movements (for 1 minute). Feel free to adjust the suction intensity by pinching CelluBlue more or less firmly.
5. After your session, remember to drink half a litre of still water.

Do you have a CelluBlue? Have you discovered our CelluBlue anti-cellulite cup ?

This little game-changer makes the powerful pinch-and-roll massage technique incredibly easy to do at home to target cellulite. Results are visible in just 3 weeks.
