Grand Challenge 2015 – Day 21

Éliminer la cellulite fibreuse

The challenge

Today is Wednesday, time for your surprise snack 🙂

Before that, don’t forget your large glass of lemon water as soon as you get up, and a balanced breakfast: a bowl of plain 0% natural yogurt, some jam, and a green tea.

Quick reminder: plain natural yogurt is an excellent source of calcium, B vitamins, and protein. Feel free to include it in your breakfast by adding jam, fresh fruit, or muesli. (NOTE: while plain yogurt is almost a perfect food, the same cannot be said for flavoured varieties. The added sugar can significantly increase the calorie count and raise blood sugar levels.)

In the bathroom, don’t skip your cool water rinse — or cold water for the brave ones — over your legs, working from bottom to top. For those of you who have been doing this, have you noticed any results from this new morning ritual ?

snack

For your snack break, go for 30g of mixed almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts 🙂

Do you know the benefits of these nuts and seeds, known as “oleaginous seeds”? This group includes almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds, soy, sunflower seeds, and more.

Almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts are precious allies for cardiovascular health and make wonderfully healthy snacks.
Hazelnuts are rich in vitamin E, which supports the immune system. Walnuts are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, and almonds are ideal for boosting your magnesium intake.

Here are 3 great reasons to enjoy them:
They keep hunger at bay
They help prevent obesity
They help lower cholesterol levels

salade poulet asperges

For lunch, here is a balanced recipe combining protein and vegetables: a salad with chicken breast and asparagus.

Ingredients (serves 4)
– 500 g asparagus,
– 400 g cooked chicken breast,
– 1 onion, finely sliced,
– 1 tbsp chopped mint,
– 1 small bunch of chives,
– 1 orange,
– 1 tbsp lemon juice,
– 2 tbsp oil,
– Salt, pepper.

Method
1. Peel the asparagus with a vegetable peeler, then rinse thoroughly. Cook in salted boiling water for 20 minutes. Once done, drain and cut into pieces.
2. Dice the chicken breast. Peel the orange, remove the skin and seeds from each segment, then place everything in a salad bowl with the asparagus.
3. Prepare the dressing by combining the lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Add the oil, onion, mint, and finely chopped chives.
4. Gently pour over the salad and toss lightly. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
Tip: you can also grill your chicken breast to add a satisfying crunch to your salad.

Today’s exercise: Side glute raises

Today we keep up the momentum from yesterday and continue toning our glutes and thighs to say goodbye to cellulite!

To perform this exercise correctly, lie on your side with your legs straight, supporting your head with your hand for comfort. Lift your leg as you inhale, then lower it as you exhale. To increase the difficulty, raise your leg alternately forwards and backwards. To avoid any discomfort, always keep your back straight.

Repeat this exercise for 1 minute and complete 3 to 4 sets to round off the sequence from yesterday 🙂 Good luck everyone!

Today’s pinch-and-roll massage session

We’re focusing once again on the pinch-and-roll technique, which is the most important exercise of the entire challenge. Some participants have let the coach know that they haven’t been doing their pinch-and-roll massage every day
No pinch-and-roll = no results at the end of the challenge

So don’t forget to complement your diet and exercise efforts with the pinch-and-roll massage every day or every other day, following our targeted exercise routine to tone your body and break down the fat cells responsible for cellulite. You’ll quickly notice the benefits of these new daily habits!

As you know, the pinch-and-roll is the most effective massage technique available.
The movement should always be performed from bottom to top to improve circulation. Although this technique can sometimes feel uncomfortable, it is remarkably effective against all types of cellulite.
Please remember to follow these guidelines before you begin:

• The massage should always be performed on skin that has been oiled beforehand.
• The pinch-and-roll technique should never be used on broken or wounded skin, as it may worsen injuries and interfere with healing.
• You should drink at least half a litre of water after each session.

For those who own a CelluBlue cup, do a CelluBlue session this evening 🙂

A quick reminder on how to use your CelluBlue :
1. Apply oil to the areas of your body affected by cellulite.
2. Pinch CelluBlue between your fingers to expel the air.
3. Place CelluBlue on the area you wish to treat and release — your skin will be drawn up into the cup.
4. Begin the massage: make targeted upward movements (for 3 minutes), side-to-side movements (for 1 minute), then circular movements (for 1 minute). Feel free to adjust the suction intensity by pinching CelluBlue more or less firmly.
5. After your session, remember to drink half a litre of still water.

Do you have a CelluBlue? Have you discovered our CelluBlue anti-cellulite cup ?

This little game-changer makes the powerful pinch-and-roll massage technique incredibly easy to do at home to fight cellulite. Results are visible in as little as 3 weeks.
