Grand Challenge 2015 – Day 13

Vrai faux cellulite eau froide

The challenge

We’re starting this morning with our large glass of lemon water AND a new morning tip to tackle cellulite! We’re going to activate and stimulate your blood circulation! Why not make the most of your daily shower to help eliminate cellulite ?

douche1

Say goodbye to lazy baths and hello to invigorating showers! (Be careful with water that’s too hot — it can damage your blood vessels.)
Stick to lukewarm water. And if you’re feeling brave (we have no doubt you are!), before finishing your shower, run a cool or even cold jet of water over your legs.
Start from the ankles, working your way up along the thighs, all the way to the buttocks and hips.

This technique is particularly recommended for those dealing with both cellulite and heavy legs, as it helps firm and tone the legs.
Make this a good habit every morning and you’ll feel lighter and ready to take on the day!

For breakfast this morning, go for a banana + a green tea + two slices of toast with jam.
By the way, did you know that bananas are one of the ideal foods for fighting cellulite?
The minerals found in bananas help prevent water retention and promote blood circulation: the perfect combination to fight the appearance of cellulite!
Bananas contain potassium, which helps activate lymphatic drainage. This drainage helps decongest the areas where dimples currently appear!

Without overdoing it (they are still caloric, after all), feel free to enjoy them throughout the challenge!

For lunch today, here’s a recipe for Thai basil sautéed shrimp :

LEMON_SHRIMP_GRITS_24.tif

Ingredients (serves 4)

500 g raw shrimp
2 tbsp Thai basil leaves
3 garlic cloves
2 tsp vegetable oil
2 tsp sesame oil
2 Thai red chillies, finely chopped
2 red bell peppers
6 sprigs of Asian chives
1 tbsp palm sugar or cane sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce

Method
Step 1
Peel the shrimp, leaving the tails on, and remove the black vein along the back.
Slice the chive stalks. Cut the white bases in half.
Dice the red bell peppers.
Finely chop the garlic and roughly chop the basil.
Prepare everything in advance, as the cooking goes very quickly!
Step 2
Heat the wok with the vegetable oil. Add the shrimp in batches, removing them as soon as they start to turn pink. Set aside and keep warm.
Step 3
Wipe the wok with kitchen paper.
Heat the sesame oil and sauté the garlic, chilli, white parts of the chives and the bell peppers.
Step 4
Once they are just tender, add the remaining ingredients. Stir well until the sugar has dissolved, return the shrimp to the wok to warm through, then serve!

abdos+squat

Today’s exercise:

For today’s workout, we’re asking you to combine 2 exercises you’ve already done: abs + SQUATS. This double exercise will work your stomach, buttocks and thighs — what more could you ask for? 🙂

Do a set of 30 abs, then repeat this exercise 3 or 4 times if possible. Set yourself goals based on last time. For example: aim for 100 abs today!

Do a set of 15 squats, then repeat this sequence 4 times and gradually increase the number of squats with each session.

Today’s pinch-and-roll session

As every day from now on, don’t forget: 20 minutes of the manual method or 5 minutes of the CelluBlue method today for the pinch-and-roll massage — head back to Day 10. You should be getting the hang of the pinch-and-roll technique by now.
