Grand Challenge 2015 – Day 12

Pompes

The challenge

Monday morning – the start of a brand new week together 🙂
We hope you’re still feeling motivated! Are you already starting to see the results of your efforts?

To kick off the day on the right note, don’t forget your large glass of water first thing in the morning (with or without lemon) and a good, balanced breakfast – the most important meal of the day!
This morning, go for a bowl of cereal (muesli or oat bran) + a clementine + a freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.

pates-aux-asperges

For tonight’s dinner, here is a recipe for a pasta and asparagus salad:

Ingredients:
• One bunch of asparagus
• One 250g pack of pasta
• One punnet of cherry tomatoes (approx. 250g)
• ½ bunch of dill
• One yellow pepper
• A light homemade vinaigrette

Method:
1/ Start by cooking the pasta according to the packet instructions. Also cook the green asparagus for 10 minutes in boiling water – they should be al dente.
2/ Once the asparagus and pasta are ready, cut the asparagus into pieces roughly the same size as the pasta. Mix them together.
3/ In a frying pan, sauté the yellow pepper cut into small cubes. To make it easier to digest, you can remove the skin.
4/ Prepare a vinaigrette and add some chopped dill to give it extra flavour.
5/ Add the pepper to the pasta and asparagus mixture. Add the cherry tomatoes, halved.
6/ Pour the vinaigrette over everything and toss gently before serving.

Today’s exercise:
For today’s workout, we’re talking push-ups. Yes – push-ups aren’t just for men, and they’re incredibly effective for toning your arm muscles and abs, as well as burning calories.

The correct position:
– Lie face down on the floor.
– Place your hands flat on the ground at shoulder width, slightly wider than your shoulders. Keep your body perfectly straight.
– Push your body up by extending your arms, keeping your body in a straight line. Avoid the tendency to arch your back.
Only your hands and toes should be in contact with the floor, while keeping your body fully aligned.
– Do not touch the floor between push-ups. From the first to the last rep, only your toes and hands should be in contact with the ground.

Do 5 minutes of exercise without stopping, and don’t forget to hydrate afterwards!

Today’s palper-roulé session

As every day from now on, don’t forget: 20 minutes using the manual method or 5 minutes with the CelluBlue method today for your palper-roulé – head back to Day 10. You should be getting really comfortable with the technique by now.
