What exactly is a weight loss smoothie?

For those living under a rock, let’s get back to basics. A smoothie is a creamy cold drink, made with fruits and vegetables blended in a blender, to which you can add plant-based milk, yogurt, seeds (flax, chia), dried fruits (goji, prune), or even beneficial spices (cinnamon, turmeric…). It’s a bit like a milkshake, but it contains neither milk nor ice cream. It’s not a juice either, because it’s made in a blender (not a juice extractor) and contains the pulp of vegetables (to enjoy the benefits of fiber).

As for smoothies for weight loss, they focus above all on the nutritional quality and antioxidants of the ingredients and generally don’t contain “caloric” ingredients: sugar, cocoa powder, industrial fruit juice, honey… Another characteristic: they’re made with fruits and vegetables that are light in calories. Goodbye avocado or banana!

Weight loss smoothie recipe no1: Apple and carrot duo

It’s ultra filling, thanks to the pectin in the apple, but also very vitamin-rich! To prepare it, you need:

  • One carrot
  • One apple
  • One 0% plain yogurt
  • The juice of half a lemon

Simply peel and cut the carrot, do the same with the apple, blend everything with the yogurt and lemon, and enjoy!

Recipe no2: Green smoothie with pear

A second rather surprising recipe, but an “ appetite suppressant ” and very diuretic. To make it, you’ll need:

  • A handful of lamb’s lettuce
  • 2 pears
  • One kiwi
  • One celery stalk with its leaves
  • Water

The preparation is simple: blend the lamb’s lettuce, the two peeled and pitted pears, the peeled kiwi, and the celery in a blender. Add water to adjust the texture, depending on whether you like your drinks creamy or liquid.

Recipe no3: Blueberry bliss

A weight loss smoothie that helps you get a flat belly, thanks to its regulating effect on digestion and its gentleness on digestion. The ingredients are as follows:

  • 250 g of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tbsp of flax seeds
  • 50 cl of plant-based milk (almond, soy, rice)

  • A small cucumber with smooth skin
  • Two kiwis
  • A little ginger
  • A little water

For preparation, simply wash the cucumber and cut it into pieces, peel the kiwis, peel the ginger, and blend everything with a little water, to your taste.

Recipe no6: Vitamin-packed juice

Here’s a weight loss drink that’s packed with vitamins, but also very helpful for losing belly fat. With an added lipolytic boost, thanks to grapefruit. To make it, you’ll need:

  • The juice of a grapefruit or a pomelo
  • The juice of an orange
  • One carrot cut into pieces
  • A piece of fresh turmeric, peeled

Blend all the ingredients together, add a few ice cubes and a slice of lime, and enjoy!

Recipe no7: Green kale smoothie

This kale has a great reputation, and for good reason! Its nutritional density is exceptional, as it’s antioxidant, packed with vitamins, lightweight, anti-inflammatory… The list goes on! To prepare this detox drink, you need:

  • A handful of kale leaves
  • One apple
  • One lime (which neutralizes the bitterness of the cabbage)

Wash the kale, place it in a blender. Wash the apple, remove the seeds and cut it into pieces, then place the pieces in the machine. Squeeze the lime juice and collect the zest. Blend everything, and you’re done!
