When you want to fight cellulite and reshape your body, you usually pay attention to what you eat and start a new workout routine… Forgetting what you drink! Today we are going to talk about those unhealthy drinks you should avoid to maintain a healthy diet and help your body get rid of cellulite and burn fat.
Unhealthy Drinks to Avoid When Fighting Cellulite
Alcohol
Cocktails, red or white wine, beer, champagne… Alcohol only contains unnecessary calories, in fact 7 calories per gram. When you know that one glass of wine contains 10g, the calorie counter starts flashing red! We are not saying you never have to drink alcohol again, but try and keep it down to 1 glass of wine a day maximum.
Sodas
Fizzy drinks contain too much sugar: when you drink 33cl of soda, you drink the equivalent of 4 cubes of sugar! In addition to sugar, sodas also contain salt, which favors water retention and bloating. Try and limit your soda intake, instead go for homemade lemonade or detox waters. You can also swap sodas with sparkling water if you really want to drink a bubbly drink.
Fruit juice
Most industrial fruit juices contain a lot of sweaters and flavouring! These fruit juices are part of the drink you should try to avoid, as they contain a lot of sugar. Try to make your own fruit juices, mixing different fruits that are in season, or go for a 100% unsweetened and organic fruit juice!
Dairy drinks
Hot chocolate, capuccino, moka, macchiato… All these industrial drinks that contain milk or cream, and are fat too rich to have everyday. If you want to have a hot drink, have a cup of tea instead. And when you really want to treat yourself once in a while with hot chocolate or a coffee-based drink try and do it yourself.
What Can I Drink ?
Don’t worry! Even if water is technically the only liquid our body needs, there are a lot of alternatives that will make drinking water less monotonous. To help cleans your body you can add some lemon to your water. You can even drink a small glass of hot water with lemon every morning before breakfast to boost the cleansing properties of the lemon.
You can also make a lot of fruit-based drinks: homemade fruit juices, homemade smoothies, plant infusions, tea and coffee (without sugar and milk!), fruit infused water. You will soon forget sodas and industrial fruit juices!
